About the Conference

Our first event took place in 2007. The idea was to bring a conference to Bristol and let the creative sector within the city come alive with an annual event open to all. In previous years, there's been a good mix of professionals and students alike, with a varied programme of speakers with the aim that everyone walks away with something new to think about.

Venues

This year, WDC is moving back to one of its original venues in Bristol. Watershed is one of Bristol's best venues for creatives, with work that spreads across film, music, theatre, design, visual art, and tech. Watershed sits right on Bristol's harbourside, right next to the centre of the city, so transport links are great, and we're ideally placed for everything you need (including the after party, about 5 doors down).

Party

After the conference, we'll be heading down to Pitcher & Piano, the site of previous WDC after-parties. The after-party is a good chance to meet and chat with the people you've been sitting with for two days, as well as the conference organisers and speakers. There'll be some cash behind the bar for everyone to enjoy a beverage or two, and we'll keep the music down to make sure you can actually hear each other!

Sponsors

We can't do the event without the support of our sponsors. In the past, we've had the likes of Microsoft, Heart Internet, Perch, Salesforce, Twilio, Xero and Freeagent. Fancy sponsoring? Check out our packages
