A warm welcome to anyone who has come over from ScrunchUp. Anna was nice enough to share her discount code with not only her twitter followers but everyone who visits ScrunchUp.

We look forward to seeing you there on October 27th!

Are you on Twitter? Are you coming to WDC2010? If so why not so us you are by marking yourself as attending on our Lanyrd page: http://lanyrd.com/2010/webdevconf/

Lanyrd is the social conference directory and it’d be great to see who on twitter is coming along or thinking of coming along.

WDC has always been about getting students meeting professionals and learning about what’s going on in the Web Industry and much, much more. Like last year we’re opening to door to students outside of UWE for discounted prices and we’re doing the same this year.

For £20 students will get to attend the entire event beginning to end and what’s even better is that the discount codes hiding all over the site, etc will also work so that means you can save up to £7.50, that’s a ticket for £12.50!

Hurry, as there are currently only 50 student tickets available. UWE students please keep an eye out for an email to your student accounts about your tickets to WDC2010.

As you’ve probably noticed there are a couple of nice little links in the header here on the WDC site. As we’ve been able to gather enough ‘fans’ on Facebook we’ve updated our link to http://www.facebook.com/webdevconf so now its the same as twitter, simple!

Remember too, Tickets are on sale as there are hidden discounts all over the site so be sure to find one before you buy a ticket!

WDC2010 is going to be a great event yet again. We have a great line-up of some of the web top names and it wouldn’t be right not to give your company or product the chance to get its name out to all of the attendees at the event.

Just like every other conference event known to man we have a number of different packages on offer. The easy thing to do is download our WDC2010 Sponsorship Pack and get in contact with Alex to discuss anything further.

We’re looking for you!

That’s right, we’re looking for our final speaker and that could be you!

Each year at WDC we like giving people the chance to speak in front of loads of people (WDC2010 will hopefully 300 attendees) about their passion and interests. For WDC2009 we invited along Sarah Parmenter and now Sarah is up with the elite speaking at a number of massive web events and we want to give you that chance.

To get on the list of possible speakers it’s simple. Drop me an email to alex@webdevconf.co.uk and let me know what you want to speak about, it can be anything web related (even proper development!). You can put your name on the list through until the end of July so what are you waiting for?

Discount Codes

We all love a good discount code, we love them even better if they’re emailed to us. However, I want you to work for them (well not all of them as some may pop up in our newsletter and the first twenty sign ups have theirs).

It’s pretty simple, hidden in the site are a number of discount codes for you to save some cash on your tickets. Ranging from £1 through to £6 for the toughest to find.

So what are you waiting for?

Hello world!

Hello and welcome to WDC2010. As you can see we’ve got a great line up for this years event and plenty of things going on in the build up to it.

As some of you probably saw we popped up on the day after WDC2009 on Smashing Mag so this year we’re trying to get in early all over the board to let you know about everything we’ve got going on. That’s why we’ve launched a newsletter and we’re slowly filling the site with content related to the web and other things going on.

We’re always interested in feedback, ideas and everything else so why not leave a comment or drop us an email?
